How do I recycle plastic fruit packaging?
You know those containers that blueberries, some greens, and grapes come in? They%26#039;re plastic clamshells...how do I properly recycle them? I have tons of them and want to find the most efficient way to get them recycled.

There are so many good answers I don%26#039;t know who to choose as the best answer. I will definitely use some of them for seedling containers and some of them to bring to the farmer%26#039;s market. Thank you!
You might ask a teacher especially if she teaches young children if she could use them in her art center. Many teachers teach recycling by giving a child an item such as the clam shell and ask the child to make something out of it. Teachers are very creative in recycling many things.
I have always put them in the recycling bin, and the trash company takes them with everything else. THey have a number on the bottom of them. well most of them do. I say recycle according to that number.
my limited knowledge
There really is no efficient way to recycle them. Try to reuse them yourself, and maybe check with a local small farmer to see if they can reuse them. Some local farms near me will take back used egg cartons.
Reuse them for growing seedlings or sprouting.
try www.earth911.org they can help you find a local recycler for just about any product.
they are rubbish, put them in the bin
