How much do recycled glass countertops cost? My friend told me she looked into it and it costs double the price of granite countertops? Is this true? I figure it would cost a bit more than granite but double? I am in Canada so I know the prices would be more than in the USA but it seems like a lot.

I want to thank you. I had no idea there even was such a thing. I guess most of the building here is vintage, but we are being invaded by the granite countertop.

One very serious suggestion: radioactivity testing. Turns out some of the imported granites have tested really high. 67% 2 Votes

• My husband and I are finally remodelling our 23-yr-old home and the kitchen is our current project. I wanted to go with the recycled glass countertops so badly (some of the looks are incredibly lovely), but when we got our quotes from 2 different companies, we knew it was never going to happen. I can buy granite countertops to the tune of $2,130, but the recylcled glass quotes were over $4,200 (both granite and recycled quotes included installation). I also wanted sustainable flooring, but after the countertop financial fiasco, I somehow doubt I%26#039;m going to be happy with the pricing or even come close to affording same. 33% 1 Vote
