    • Depends on how much power you need. The cost of a solar/wind installation including the charge controller and battery bank generally runs about $10 per watt. If you are in a remote location that can be cheaper than getting hooked up to the grid but in urban areas it isn%26#039;t really viable, which is why most solar/wind systems are installed at cottages or hunting cabins. 0% 0 Votes
    • Something missing from all this is transportation costs. Where I live, Midwest USA, it costs about 50k dollars U.S., but it SHOULD be quite a bit less than that. Where you live is better for it, and you may or may not be close to a dealer/manufacturer. It is also labor intensive to start, and that costs more here than there. I%26#039;d love to go wind turbine here, because we have LOTS of it, but laws prohibiting %26quot;out structures%26quot;.
