How much is the cost not only in man hours but in energy to dispose of this hazardous material?
Does not seem to add up really, a bulb for $.25 or a bulb for $2.00 that contains poison.
Does not sound good for the environment to me.

They don%26#039;t have more mercury than regular bulbs. They actually have less. The first bulbs like this had a ballast with a fair amount of mercury in it, but they ahve reduced the amont necessary that is not in any way hazardous waste. Just dispose of it as you would any other bulb. 71% 10 Votes
