I see bamboo being used on alot of these %26quot;green%26quot; redesign shows on TV. They say it%26#039;s %26quot;green%26quot; because it grows very fast. But where are they cutting this bamboo from? Last I heard the bamboo forests in China were being cut down so fast they couldn%26#039;t be replenished in time and the panda was suffering from a lack of food and habitat. Does anyone have more information on the use of this supposedly %26quot;green%26quot; product? Is it really better than using other woods? Does someone grow it outside of panda inhabited areas?

Also, even cooler is new science which has cloned a bamboo that can save the planet. Bamboo sequesters carbon dioxide at far higher rates than an equivalent stand of trees and releases up to three times the amount of oxygen.
