Third, switch off all electrical sockets and lights when not in use. This saves money too!

Four, buy in bulk where you can. This cuts down on packaging and transportation plus it will cost you less too.

Five, get some soapnuts. Soapnuts are a pure and natural detergent, environmentally friendly, allergy free, ecological and economical.
Soapnuts grown in India are harvested in a sustainable way, the nuts are dried and the shells contain saponin, a natural detergent. When added to water they form mild soap suds providing an organic, environmentally friendly alternative to detergent, soap and shampoo.
Soapnuts are allergy free so good for sensitive skin, babies and people with eczema. They contain no chemicals and are a natural organic product. They are biodegradable so simply throw them in your compost bin after use.

This is where I get mine from, it%26#039;s the cheapest I%26#039;ve found them so far and have free delivery:

Six, use eco friendly cleaning products like white vinegar, lemon juice and bicarbonated soda, they are cheap and safe but most of all eco and effective!

Seven, ditch the car when ever possible and walk! It%26#039;s good for the bum and thighs too!

Eight, use an energy supplier that offers %26#039;green%26#039; energy - some of them even send you free energy saving lightbulbs too.

Nine, if you have children opt for washable nappies, you can get them preloved off sites like ebay relativly cheaply, or your local council, like mine do, may have a sceme where they supply you with a FREE starter pack AND cash back for using them.

As you can see there are loads of things to do that can make a difference. And they cost you little r even nothing, sometimes even saving you money that can be put towards the more expensive green products.

  • When buying products to use on yourself, you should use clear products.
Anything that has a milky look to it is full of nasty stuff.
I survived Breast Cancer and that is what I have researched.
  • The cost is directly related to the amount of energy needed to create the goods. Cheaper goods required less energy.

So you can buy less expensive items, and be as green as the snobs next door. Maybe more so.
  • At Target they have Methods products. They are still a little more expensive than the regular brands but not by too much. The energy saver light bulbs are worth the price difference because they last a lot longer and don%26#039;t break as easily. Take reusable bags with you wherever you go. Plastic bags are becoming a huge environmental problem.
