If I hate the color Green, Do I still have to recycle? trash is piling up in my yard and Im too lazy to sort

• You know, it%26#039;s not about color, it%26#039;s about caring.
  Participating in recycling shows you care, not just about the environment, but really about keeping your own home and yard organized and tidy.
  People still judge other people by their covers, and that includes the front of their house and the junk in their yards. I have met some of the nicest people who live in garbage dumps, almost literally, meaning their homes are so trashed you can%26#039;t find the sofa for the junk and there%26#039;s a path through the piles of stuff in the living room to get to the kitchen. They are nice people, but when they complain about being sick all the time, I think,, %26quot;well, duh, if you cleaned your house and kept it clean you wouldn%26#039;t get sick all the time!%26quot;
  But more importantly, recycling means reusing resources instead of digging more holes in the ground and burning more oil and coal to make new useless plastic gadgets instead of turning that same oil into cheaper gasoline. It uses so much more oil, coal, and electricity to make new aluminum and plastic than it does to recycle the same stuff. If you love the higher gas prices, then by all means, don%26#039;t recycle.
  But why not recycle when you already pay and extra deposit at the store for your bottles and cans? Why not collect those bottles and cans to the recycle center and get that money back? Why throw away your money?
  Recycle. Just try. At least get some gas money out of it. Or money for a case of Coke.
• Personally, I%26#039;m not fond of the color green, either. I use a blue recycling bin. Maybe it%26#039;s called going green because you can save yourself some green ($$$) when you do recycle. Our neighborhood school paid for an end of the school year picnic by recycling cans and bottles all year long. Either way, I think you%26#039;d look better with a fuschia wig on that cat!
