Im looking at getting solar panels. I want to get solar panels but not spend 20,000!! I found out that you can get a panel to run only your AC unit, I also found something that will run my pool pump! Anyone own either of these? How did you do? Where did you go? How much was it, and was it hard to install?


I LOL at Al Gore%26#039;s proclamation of wanting America to get all of it%26#039;s electrical needs from sources other than fossil fuels in TEN YEARS! Unless congress immediately allows the construction of more nuclear power plants this ain%26#039;t gonna happen! There are no batteries available to store up enough electrical power to run a city. No provisions for cloudy or snowy days. No provisions for days when the wind don%26#039;t blow to turn turbine blades. More junk science! There are other alternatives and methods out there as well. That are simple lifestyle or in some cases product changes that can be made. I would love to go into more detail. If you want email me and we can go from there.

Keep in mind that the energy level you are currently consuming at will be the same no matter if you are using solar or plant energy. You want to cut energy costs you need to make effective changes as well.

Solar panels are very expensive and take many years to pay for themselves. You%26#039;d be better off contacting your congressmen to lift bans on Nuclear and other producers of electricity. That would lower the costs and save much more than the hassle of hooking up solar power and batteries etc.

the only solar panel i have operates my gate @ my driveway; i would be interested in this answer as well, but my husband checked into this and just one large panel was $16,000; a house would need several of these
