Brown paper bags aren%26#039;t very weatherproof in this dreary country, you wouldn%26#039;t want to be walking down the high street when a sudden downpour causes all your shopping to fall through your soggy brown bag and roll down the street.

• your best bet would be to carry your own canvas or cloth bag more sturdy than a paper bag and yes a paper bag rips easily when over filled and does not do well in wet conditions
