Yes it is perfectly OK. fish and turtles will try to stay away from you, and as long as your dad doesn%26#039;t mind then it will not disturb his fishing very much.
we swim and fish in the same water all the time with out any problems. jcms 50% 4 Votes

  • Swimming in the pond won%26#039;t hurt you. Fish and turtles want to stay away from you as much as you would like to stay away from them. While swimming in the pond will %26quot;disturb%26quot; their habitat, so would any animal deciding to go for a dip.

As long as you didn%26#039;t leave any garbage behind and tried to make as little impact as possible (so no dumping soda in the pond), both you and the fish should be fine. 38% 3 Votes
  • My children swim in local waterways all of the time and never once has one been bitten by a turtle, but we do wear water shoes because of old fishing hooks, sharp sticks, etc., just to protect your feet Have Fun!! 0% 0 Votes
  • Please don%26#039;t swim there. Your presence startles the fish and other animals and re-directs their environment. 0% 0 Votes
  • I have been fishing with water up to my neck. I don%26#039;t see an issue unless there are venomous snakes or Parana in the water. 13% 1 Vote
  • Are you aware that fish and turtles poop in that water??
