Is there a place to recycle wax paper? Is there a place where you can take either paper or cardboard that has wax on it? Are there any websites that would have information?

Well, I do have vast quantities, so where can they be shipped to be recycled?

I did not know there were utilities that were supported by burning trash. This was a toss up. Two really good answers. From what I googled on the net, I can not find a way to recycle wax paper. BTW, I work at a wax paper factory. We throw about 6 tons of scrap away every month.

Generally no, unless you have vast quantities. Both can be composted, but it takes a very long time.

David-waxed paper and cardboard will rot, it just takes a little longer. Commercial composting facilities have no problem handling waxed paper and cardboard.
