Is this a good idea? should all shops have one in U.K? When i was on holiday in spain i went to buy a newspaper (the sun), and it was a machine, i put 1 euro in and it prints a newspaper off in 60 seconds.

i think all shops should have one then there would be less paper wasteage from unsold newspapers.

Interesting idea at first read.

However tell me about the toner, who changes it, how often it needs refilled, how much fuel is spent to refill the toner, paper, and service these machines.

Is the toner being refilled, or is a new one put into the machine, and the old one sent to the landfill?

We use more paper than ever now that we are computerised.

In the early seventies a sunday newspaper in the UK cost 8d in old money (less than 4p in current money) and was the size of a car door, now it is half the size and costs an arm and a leg, ...and a wheelbarrow to carry it home in.
