I%26#039;m assuming it%26#039;s because a greenhouse allows for the best environment to cultivate and grow plants, which are typically green in color.

It is called a greenhouse because it is maintaining plant life inside. In our world today plant life is often associated with the color green because stems are green as well as, grass, vines, leafs, pine trees and most all plants have at least SOME green on them. And if you are wondering about the whole %26quot;Go Green%26quot; thing it is the same idea only that it is a way to help our environment. For example I am going green by planting a flower garden to put more oxygen in the world. If everyone contributes the world will be a better and GREENER place before we know it!
