You should show them a slide show or make them see national geographic documentary show and prove them that polluting and harming our air and water is dangerous for our kids and what will happened to a the people in this world if all the ice caps melts. They would drown and die while other countries will be at war because of tight space little food and territory.

Ugghhh, i hate people like that!
Anyway, here%26#039;s what you do:
Show them what%26#039;s happening to the environment. Videos and stuff.
Show them how much you save on the electricity bills if you unplug the TV when you%26#039;re finished, ect.
That%26#039;s all i can think of... Anyway,
Good luck! -
u can make them understand by some eg. ,movie

Keep at it and don%26#039;t be worried to be the annoying friend always going on about the environment!
I am really into animal welfare and most of my friends just think I%26#039;m silly but every now and then they%26#039;ll take something i say on board, like trying new washing detergent that isn%26#039;t tested on animals even if they keep using cosmetics that are.
Every little bit matters, and good on you for standing up for what you believe in

ok your friends like polar bears rite?
who dosen%26#039;t?
so show them what happens to them once all ice melts dew to their negligence -
The only thing you can do other than try to impose your beliefs on them is lead by example. Maybe they will think about it by seeing rather than being told. Besides, if your recycle aluminum, you can get cash for that, always a plus and yes, it does pay to recycle aluminum.

Know that you can%26#039;t change everyone! Just keep going about your life as usual. Even if your efforts just offset their behavior that is okay! One day hopefully they will learn and feel like schmucks for their past behavior.

We should all be responsible, but maybe they realize Al Gore is a joke?

how did a nice girl like you get a bunch of ignorant rednecks like them as friends? No, but really, dont get discouraged, many others do recycle and reduce, and you know that you are saving money for yourself by doing so. Dont push things on them, they will just rebel even more. Eventually they may grow up. Ive changed my gf and her kids ways a little, its an uphill battle, but they%26#039;ve noticed some monetary benefits, and also the fact that going to a little extra trouble in somethings saves even more effort in others. That is what counts for most, the larger picture is probably to much for many to understand, and there is no sense of beating yourself up trying to explain it.

One thing I think your mom forgot to explain, you cannot push your ideology on others.
Everyone has the right to do or say what they like. Everyone has an opinion and a different way of thinking than you.
You should welcome diversity, otherwise we all would be robots?
Just a thought. Remember, you are special! There is no-one like you.
Embrace that. -
Get new friends -- Maybe join others or groups who do recycling events
ie..like hold craft shows of recycled materials or workshops for kids to show what happens to say an aluminum can if and if not recycled.
Get busy grrrrl
