well nuclear is a dangerous subtane if it leakes it can distroy the humans. how it works is the nuclear rods go into coldwater to heat up one its hot the stem goes up and spinnes the turbines that make energy and power up homes in fact i live 125miles from a nuclear power plant i would use water energy. hope this helps i know stuff alot 100% 1 VoteOther Answers (4)

All I know is that Nuclear fusion is a much cleaner version of fission being developed. It produces very little waste and increases the life of helium : )

Well, Nuclear power is still used in Britain today and has done for many years, its actually a good substitute for coal and oil (fossil fuels) In britain its not changing, although thtey are settign up new ones this year, but it takes years and years to do. Not sure in America, pretty sure they dont use them that much

The first use of Nuclear energy was for basic physics research. Then came the Atomic Bomb. But in a very short time it was developed for producing electricity and for powering military ships. Aircraft carriers and submarines are the primary uses of Nuclear Energy for propulsion. Nuclear materials are sometimes used in medicine and for irradiating food. All of the Nuclear plants built to provide electricity are still in use. But new Nuclear plants have not been built in over 20 years. The problem with Nuclear Energy is the disposal of the spent fuel and used parts that have had direct contact with the fuel. It stays dangerous for thousands of years and must be disposed of with elaborate safety measures. Next to that, you need to keep greedy contractors from cutting corners with the quality control measures that are necessary in building the plants.
