My question is... to all you Ecofriendly experts... do you consider Yard Saling to be very %26quot;GREEN%26quot;??? Since it does require driving to a few places to find what you need?

Not only is it green but your helping people make money who might have fallen on hard times. I love Yard sales I go every single weekend. Its a great way to be a part of a community.SO rock your yard sales. It also costs more the environment when they make the new baby stuff. Way to go.

sure the driving part is not very green, but the buying part is. Not buying new stuff is great. It doesnt take an energy (today) to make old stuff (made a while ago). I mean to say that old stuff (made a while ago), like furniture and what not really has no big effects on the environment (today).

Yes! garage sales give us the chance to re-use many items that would otherwise end up in the ground fill. Also, the cost of reproducing the same items use a lot more power or energy than the little bit of gas used into travelling to and fro garage sales.

I would consider it being green due to the fact that the items you buy at a yard sale have been saved from being placed in a landfill.

it is a better option than buying it from shops as this also uses fuel to get places. buying sencond hand things is a great way to do your part
