Why? Plastics have done so much to save the environment. Why do you want to go backwards?

Plastics are light weight and save fuel when shipping and require little energy to manufacture. Plastic is also recyclable.

Using glass or metal containers require more energy to manufacture and are heavier.

when hard work in put into an item the user take precaution when in use glass don;t break down to create new products recycled plastic makes more toxins in the atmostph... u can also carry to k mart a cloth bag to transport items purchased instead of take plas tic bags

• It is hard to completely swear off plastic as right now it is everywhere. Some tips. Bring a glass from home and use that to fill up water for the day while at work. When I started doing that I had to really make sure that I was getting enough water throughout the day. Every little bit helps.
• Well, I can agree with you that some products do not need to be wrapped/shipped/bottled in plastic. But I dont think im going to stop buying things in plastic bottles though. They should give us more of an incentive to recycle them though, I wouldnt mind paying extra for things in plastic if they can be returned for the deposit.

  I like plastic because it doesn%26#039;t break when dropped and it is nice %26amp; light............
• plastic bothers me as well but it is unrealistic for me to completley wean it from my life. it would be like swearing off chinese products forever. the best we can do is REDUCE REUSE RECYCLE and trade on freecycle.
