Small boxes that are thin (maybe thick--depends) can be decoupaged or covered with scrapbook paper and made into a very nice little box to put your gift in.A gift can be made from anything! You can fill the little box with candies (especially chocolates!) You can make a birdhouse out of scrap wood, candles out of orange juice cans and melt old candles and pour into it for the mold and add some melted crayons for the right color. (old broken crayons)
There is the old pinata made out of old newspaper made with flour and water for paste. Paste paper on a balloon and shape with used up paper towel rolls or TP rolls.
You can make just about ANYTHING out of recycled stuff....it just depends on what you have and what you want.
