It%26#039;s always courteous to separate them.I work in the recycling business, and even separating different things like plastics and paper by putting them in grocery sacks within the blue bag helps tremendously.
Generally, you want to sort them into the following categories:
-Plastics (Some places separate the different types of plastics, others don%26#039;t)
-Chipboard (This includes white paper, colored paper, food boxes, ect.
-Cardboard
-Aluminum
-Steel/Tin
-Glass
Again though, the different groups may vary depending on the recycling center.

i would seperat them then drop them off because after that do the blue bags get recycled so i weould do the extra step

separate them. sometimes you have to take paper and card board to different places
