Recycling kitchen trash bags? Our town is going to start a large recycling program. What I want to do is buy two identical slim trash cans, one for trash, one for recyclables. I want to bag each and place them in the appropriate containers. My question is, will regular tall kitchen bags be able to be recycled since it is containing my recyclables?

One thing I want to be able to do is throw soup cans and other lightly coated with food items in with the recyclables. I don%26#039;t want to waste water washing them, and waste time, so to keep bugs and food debri out of my containers, I%26#039;d like to place it in an appropriate bag, and have it tied closed.
