You may be referring to the oil sands in Canada.There%26#039;s as much oil in this sand as their is in the Saudi oil fields. It%26#039;s just harder to extract and process. 60% 3 Votes

Sand energy? I am not too sure on that one. I would bet it would be a solar collector. Have you ever walked barefoot across sand heated by the sun? It can burn you. I imagine a layer of sand about 3 inches deep or so and just under the surface, pipes that have water in them. The sand heats the pipes. I am not sure you can make steam from it but it would be one heck of a solar water heater.
I bet there are easier ways to make a solar water heater though. 20% 1 Vote -
