Solar-charged gadget charger? Can I buy a solar-charged gadget charger from the states and expect to be able to use it to charge a European gadget, such as a European cell phone, or other non-U.S. rechargeable gadget?

You should be able to, though it may require the use of another adapter. Some of the solar chargers even use a usb outlet. 75% 3 Votes

• Most solar chargers have a cars hot point type of outlet.
  
  I believe cars and trucks in Europe have a 12 volt system and a hotpoint just like the ones in the USA. So if you can plug it in to your car you can plug it in to a solar panel made anywhere in the world.
