We are getting solar screens put up on our windows? And I was wondering if anybody has any %26quot;green%26quot; suggestions on what we should do with our old screens. They really aren%26#039;t any good any more, but I don%26#039;t want to throw them in the landfill.

You could donate the frames to a local school. By putting a larger gauge mesh into the screens the school will have ready made sifters for the history dept to use in archological digs.

• if the screens are torn up not usable and just a plain disgrace the yes throw them out if they are no good to you then who else would what them.If the frames are made of aluminium remove all the screen material and screws and rubber liner and take to a scrap metal dealer and he will pay you for the scrap metal value of the aluminium
