It is not a matter of oxygen. If carbon dioxide gases are above safety standards, then the world will be quite a bit warmer. Then the ocean water will lose oxygen because warmer water holds less oxygen. Then algae will die. Without algae, the ocean will be filled with bacteria. The warming ocean will evaporate the water with bacteria and will kill all land animals causing mass extinction.

It would be nice if we could radiate the extra heat into the coldness of space from the South Pole. That way the ice cap would be stabilized.
