What are good ways for recycling paper? I have to write an persuasive essay, and i chose to write it on recycling paper. but, since i didn%26#039;t really think it through, and it%26#039;s due in 9 days, i can%26#039;t really change it.
i can only think of 3:
putting old paper in recycling bins (...duh)
using recycled paper
and printing handouts double sided,

i%26#039;m drawing a serious blank, thanks in advance!

1) burying paper in dirt makes it decompose and add nutrients (i think thats it?) to the dirt, helps it in some way...

2) Reduce, Reuse, Recycle... so you can write about first how to reduce the paper you use (using both sides of paper and stuff) and reusing the paper (example, an old notebook if you turn it upside down and backwards then use it you get a whole nother 100 pages to work with!) and then recycling... the dirt thing plus bins or whatever...

I hope i helped, sorry im drawing a blank too. i hope the dirt thing didnt sound too lame. 67% 2 Votes

  • you can use scraps of paper to make new hand made paper - cut it, or tear it into tiny strips, make it into a paste with some water, throw in some onion skins or dried flowers for decoration to make it look nice and to give it some texture, then flatten it and allow it to dry - makes great presents for people who make their own cards or for crafting in general, simply tie with some pretty ribbons. You can also make eco friendly plant pots with newspapers - you need a special %26#039;machine%26#039; to do this - it costs about a tenner, but the end result is having pots which you can raise seedlings then plant directly into the ground because it will decompose. Another %26#039;gadget%26#039; is a briquette maker - costs around £20 and you can make your own briquettes out of newspaper for bar-b-q%26#039;s, and you can also make newspaper logs for an open fire by using a %26#039;log-maker%26#039; again costing about £20. Don%26#039;t forget about papier-mache - you can make no end of things out of this. If you have pets, shredded paper can be used for bedding. Good luck with your essay - I hope that you are literally %26#039;writing it on recycled paper%26#039;! 0% 0 Votes
  • Vermicompost -- Put a bunch of recycled paper on the bottom, put some dirt, red worms, and food scraps and the worms will eat the paper! You can always put in more paper and they keep eating it, leaving behind something called worm castings which is nutrients for plants. Hope this helped. 0% 0 Votes
  • Write your paper on the back of some junk mail that only has printing on one side. I haven%26#039;t bought printer paper for years since most things at work and much junk mail only has one side printed on. That would be the second of the three R%26#039;s I guess. 33% 1 Vote
  • For gardens you can put newspaper down then put mulch over it. Holds down the weeds more and breaks down. You can also put newspaper down around plants in your vegetable garden, it will breakdown and at the same time hold in moisture. 0% 0 Votes
