What can I do for the environment with a flat 25m square roof?
I can get up there by ladder, but don%26#039;t like doing so too much. Any suggestions?

While not the intended use, you could install a solar blind.
These are meant to be installed on the outside of east, south and west facing windows to reduce much of the sun%26#039;s UV ray%26#039;s from entering the home.
We installed these on our south facing windows this spring and say an immediate (OK, OK....10 minutes later) 15 degree F reduction in the reading of our portable temperature gauge.
If the top of the roof is cooler, the rest of the house should be as well. The one%26#039;s we purchased only cost $3 per square foot.
Or, what about installing more attic air vents to help the hot air in the attic escape to help cool the house and reduce the need for the A/C as much.
Or, what about a solar space heater for around $3,000 that can be used in the winter to help heat your home without using any non-renewable resources?
I hope that helps,
Dan

Before you jump on the idea of a garden on the roof, have a good contractor check it to see if it will hold the weight. Also, remember that not every idea that people present on YA is based on common sense.
