I always put them in the recycle bin since my city gives us a recycle cart.

I%26#039;m a small farmer on a permaculture farm. I only subscribe to agriculture related magazines, like Countryside %26amp; Small Stock Journal, and Small Farmers Journal.I save every single one of them. The information in Small Farmer%26#039;s Journal about draft horse drawn farm impliments was good in the 1800%26#039;s and it%26#039;s still good today, and very hard to come by.
The information in the magazines I recieve virtually never goes out of date. They are kept for future referance. We also do not have cable TV, and virtually do not watch TV. It%26#039;s nice on long winter nights, to pick up magazines from the 1960%26#039;s and start re-reading them....so much good information.

Depends on the magazine really - I%26#039;ll normally recycle them or after I%26#039;ve read pass it onto a mate - and these are with the like NW or Who magazines, but if it%26#039;s Vogue, Shop til you drop or something along those lines then I%26#039;ll keep them! We%26#039;ve got Vogue dating back to 2005 I think.
I%26#039;ll recycle over throwing out in the trash though. It%26#039;s not that hard to sort it out and put it in a different bin. 33% 1 Vote -
I have actually stopped most of my subscriptions. I read magazines at the library and share. Those I do still receive or purchase on impulse....I pass along to others.

Sometimes I%26#039;ll drop the scenic ones off at a convalescent center down the street. Or, leave a stack in my doctor%26#039;s waiting room.

The Kidney Foundation will pick up your old magagzines. People on dialysis enjoy looking at appropriate magazines while they sit for several hours hooked up to a machine. Hope this helps!

Hi, you can shred them and use them for packing things in boxes, or for pet bedding, shredded paper for gift bags, donate to your library, or if you have a local second hand store, like Savers or salvation army....or doctors office, nursing home or hospital
