Lots. Most energy is thermal in nature. Cars combustion is thermal. Power plants run on thermal energy. But I don%26#039;t think that%26#039;s what you are actually asking.Advances in thermal energy use are with geothermal captures of heat from the ground. If you regard solar energy as thermal energy then there is a ton going on with that field as well. 100% 1 Vote
