I don%26#039;t think both these are co-related. Well tobacco consumption is one of the major reasons for cancer and the current warning methodology (on cigarette packs) are way to mild and will never send any kind of message to the users. NGOs %26amp; Government need to come up with a strong campaign showing pictures of victims of excess tobacco consumption, cancerous damages etc. The images can be gory, but thats the only way you can send a strong message. But the government will not do that, since it would affect their revenue.Basic element of road safety in our country - make safer raods, that lasts rains, clear of potholes. Secondly, it lies with the citizens, unless and until we have a positive mindset to drive safely or follow the rules and regulations to the dot, our roads can never be safer.

Difficult. Frankly, I disagree strongly with getting a fag out of a closed packet, fumbling for a light and lighting it while driving. Actually, removing your hand from the wheel to take a drag is not acceptable, you aren%26#039;t allowed to eat while driving, how come people smoke? I find them unrelated...unless you think of it in terms of the person holding a cigarette while driving at the same time.
Both hands firmly on the wheel at all times, trumps the one hand steering, while the other side of the wheel is being held by your wrist as you let go occasionally to take a drag. -
I can tell you many people smoke behind the wheel with little consequenses. Those that roll their own take the pee though.
There could be considered loss of attention, but have you tried keeping a smoker focused who needs a fag (trust me its better to have one and focus) -
cell phone driver will kill me be for a drunk driver or cig driver
