What should be done to people running companies who willing and knowingly pollute our oceans? Willingly; not by accident such as a mishap caused by nature. Thank you.

Make law%26#039;s, and enforce them, that is make the U.N. and other world body%26#039;s empowered to protect our once beautiful blue planet, and corporation%26#039;s are the main reason why our ocean%26#039;s, are sewer%26#039;s. The corporate brain%26#039;s, are people with type A personality%26#039;s, and will use or abuse you and society, if you let them, so the only answer is to punish them with law%26#039;s, and justice. If they are recalcitrant, then they must be removed, like anyother criminal%26#039;s, but our society today is beset by their dominance, so we can%26#039;t really punish them yet, so work on it I have seen them do anything, as long as people were quiet. If you allow them to sabotage our god given bountiful planet, then you and I are as guilty as them for allowing extreme%26#039;s to destroy this primary life entity. No one should be dirty, especially corporate leader%26#039;s, who are powerful

  • If you stopped using the stuff they make they would stop making it.
  • They should be closed down for the meantime. The owners must be lectured on the effects of what they are doing to nature. If they can fully understand the ill-effects of what they have done and are willing to undertake measures to comply with an honest to goodness formula of treating their waste and have a signed pledge that they will protect the environment, then they may be allowed to open once again their companies. Should they err again and do the same things, then they shall be banned forever and be blacklisted in opening other companies, similar or otherwise.
  • They should be asked if they would mind canceling Christmas for the families of their employees in order to make you happy.

No, seriously, not to be rude, but you have to look at the larger picture. If feeding my family means working for a company that is polluting the ocean, I have to choose my family first, and you%26#039;d better believe that your parents would say the exact same thing. The situations we get into as adults sometimes require compromising our ideals in exchange for existing outside of a world on paper.
The owners of those companies are probably operating within the confines of the law. The law does allow a certain amount of dumping of nasty stuff into the oceans.

Real life isn%26#039;t black and white. Positive solutions include encouraging responsible behavior through tax breaks, legislation restricting development of pollution-causing technology, etc...
  • We all live on earth and the oceans that they are polluting belong to mankind. If they know they are polluting the oceans but are not taking steps to correct them, then tie them up with their families to their drains that lead to the ocean. Maybe that will knock some sense in their heads.
