White.White retracts the heat therefore reducing the need to turn your AC lower.
The shades on my windows have a white side (this is the area facing the windows). This doesn%26#039;t allow absorption of heat. Acts like an insulation.
Black absorbs heat which makes the area hotter. Think of darker colored cars and lighter colored cars. A darker colored car would become hotter then that of a lighter colored car.

It really depends on what you are doing with your energy:
If you want to say, heat a house then black or dark curtains will help absorb heat from the sun and passively heat the house- so you don%26#039;t need to turn on the heat so much.
IN the summer you want the opposite, so you may have ( i have ) white curtains/ house to reflect the suns rays before they get a chance to heat up the house- so then you don%26#039;t have to turn on the cooling., 14% 1 Vote -

[ black ] is better when using electronics such as a phone screen computer screen or LCD tv screens. try reading about www.blackle.com
[ White ] when cooling because it reflects the temperature back into the air rather than abosrbing it.
[grey ] is basically closer to the black region mainly due to it being dark so it soaks in heat but also it doesnt cost as much to load the colour onto computer screens
