does anyone know the comparison that both would contribute percentage wise to a monthly electric bill if left on all the time?

Without words...
ac power is around 1 Kw.
It means that it eats around 1 Kwh per hour.
The best desktop power is around 500 W.

  • The best way to conserve energy and use laptop economically is to use the Laptop on Battery Mode, shift to A/C connection when the battery is very low.

As you use with A/C connection, the battery also charges up. Again you can repeat when the battery is fully charged.

(But, the more often you use your battery, the faster the internal resistance of the battery increases.) Don%26#039;t worry about this as it will effect once in 3 or 4 years, by the time, the technology would had developed for other options.
  • The a/c unit, everytime it starts up it draws a lot of energy. A lap top draws a small amount constantly because it is only charging the battery.
  • laptop behaves as a single load but in Desktop, there are separate monitor, CPU %26amp; sound system which independently act as loads. So,obviously Desktop uses more energy.
  • In my opinion, aircond unit consumes more energy. Yet, less using aircond and don%26#039;t let laptop unit on all night. A lightning may spoil your laptop.
  • Most surely the air conditioning unit.
  • The AC.

It takes way more amps to run an AC than a Labtop.
  • The A/C unit jcms
  • ac unit.
  • the ac unit
  • AC
  • AC! for sure
  • ac
  • the second one
