Who has a water softener that works? We need a whole house softener that A) Works B) Isn%26#039;t a million dollars and C) Isn%26#039;t sold by an evil company

We are renting a Rainsoft unit that is HORRIBLE. We I have read a lot of nasty consumer complaints about them too. Is there an ethical or green softener company with an OK product?

We just moved into a home that still has well water as our only supply. This water happens to be heavy in iron. We had to have an efficient water softener and went to Sears and bought a Kenmore. It works great. 75% 3 Votes

  A salesman tried to get me to buy a rainsoft one which seemed to work great but it is very expensive $4000 if I remember right and they seem to be into the high pressure sales thing. 25% 1 Vote
