Why don%26#039;t you recycle? If you don%26#039;t recycle, please tell me why.

I don%26#039;t sadly because I live in an apartment. All of the garbage goes into one dumpster. But I do other things to make up for it. Like: My suggestion at work has led to paper recycling and plastic bottle, soda can recycling in the lunch room. Also once a year there%26#039;s a big household recycling event in the neighborhood I live in so I save alot my %26quot;larger garbage%26quot; for that.

thanks for your honest answer. i just wanted to see why people didn%26#039;t recycle. i see no bad reason for it unless there is no way to near the person, but then you can make a call and i bet they%26#039;ll open service near you.

• I don%26#039;t because when we separate them in my neighborhood, the collectors come and just throw both containers into the same garbage truck. It%26#039;s very discouraging.
• I do. A few extra dollars a week never hurt anybody.

• the only thing i recycle is papers....easy access.
  i think people that deal with trash should take care of the rest. those that work where the dumpsters are emptied.
  maybe if i knew where the recycle bins for other items were, i would recycle them all.
• I do, but they certainly don%26#039;t make it easy here. You have to bring your bottles, cans etc back to the store where you bought them and wait in line to feed them into a machine. The stores only take back the brands they sell, so I always end up taking back a bagful and just sticking the rest in the curb recycling bin - which costs me money. I can see why people wouldn%26#039;t want to bother.
• so we can send our garbage too China child sweat shops, so they can make something, so we can buy it back
• I recycle.....they should make it a law for it.
