I don%26#039;t know if I would define Ed Begley as important, but he has walked the talk for decades. He was a pretty well know actor years ago and he decided to break Hollywood tradition and live a more environmentally friendly life. He has dedicated his life and his career to teaching people how they can live a comfortable life and conserve energy and resources. He absolutely lives Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. I think it is great that he has a show, most of us don%26#039;t want to work as hard as he does to minimize our impact, but when he has guests on that are able to live a more mainstream lifestyle or even a lavish lifestyle and he is able to show them how a few changes can reduce their negative impact on the earth without giving up comfort it is a great lesson.

I wouldn%26#039;t necessarily say that Begley or his show are important, but they do set a very good example for people to follow. Begley tries to take every step he can to minimize his environmental impact. He goes around to other environmentally conscious people%26#039;s houses and his show gives people examples of how to live green.
A lot of people use Al Gore as an excuse not to take any personal responsibility for their environmental impacts. They make claims like %26#039;if Hollywood celebrities ride around in private jets, why should I worry about my carbon footprint?%26#039;. In that sense, it%26#039;s important for people like Begley to give people an example of a celebrity who%26#039;s living as green as he can. But more than anything, his show is informative and Begley leads by example.

Ummm, have you ever seen his house? He takes living green to a whole new level (and a little past what is realistic to the normal person). He is actually in a %26quot;who can be greener war%26quot; with his neighbor Bill Nye the science guy...no joke.
