Our local place pays by weight. I think the current scale is 55cents per pound. That could vary across the States or the country you%26#039;re in if not Stateside.

each recycling center pays differant, here where i live they pay 60 cents per pound, it was about 80 cents a pound, but they always drop the price in the winter, in the summer they pay about $1.25 per pound. it takes about 23 cans to make a pound.
